Malairte (MLRT) is a peer-to-peer, decentralized digital currency built on proof-of-work consensus. It was launched with no premine and no ICO — all coins are mined fairly by participants in the network. MLRTHash v1 (double-SHA3-256 / Keccak) was chosen for its quantum-resistance properties while keeping mining accessible to CPUs and NVIDIA GPUs.

Both share similar economics (21 million max supply, halving schedule, proof-of-work), but Malairte uses double-SHA3-256 instead of SHA-256d. SHA-3 (Keccak) offers a stronger security margin against future quantum attacks and resists length-extension attacks by construction. Malairte has a faster 2-minute block time and ships a first-party CPU+GPU miner — no third-party software needed.

Download the installer from the Downloads page, generate a miner key at the explorer onboarding page, paste the key into the installer, tick Use GPU for mining if you have an NVIDIA card, and click Install. The node starts automatically and mines to your key. Full walkthrough on the Mining page.

No premine, no ICO, no foundation fund. The genesis block coinbase pays to a provably-unspendable burn address. Development is funded transparently on-chain via a 10-atom (0.0000001 MLRT) protocol fee on every coinbase and every transaction — fully auditable on the explorer. This is structurally different from a premine: it is an ongoing fee per event, not a starting allocation.

Your 64-character hex private key is the wallet — there is no separate seed phrase. Copy it to a password manager or write it on paper stored in a safe. Never paste it into a website, email, or chat. Anyone with the key controls the funds. For large holdings, run the node on a machine you fully control and keep the OS patched.

The hard cap is 21,000,000 MLRT. The block reward starts at 50 MLRT and halves every 210,000 blocks (~9.6 months at the 2-minute target block time). Roughly 50% of supply is mined in the first 9.6 months; ~99% by year 5.6; effectively all of it by year 26. After the cap is reached, miners are incentivized by transaction fees alone.

The proof-of-work hash function (MLRTHash v1, double SHA-3-256) is hardened against quantum cryptanalysis of the hash primitive — that part is real. Signatures still use ECDSA today, which is vulnerable to a sufficiently large quantum computer. Full post-quantum signatures are on the roadmap as MLIP-1 (SLH-DSA / FIPS 205). Yes. The node installer and the mobile wallet are signed with the Malairte project keys. Windows users can import our public code-signing cert (malairte-codesigning.crt on the Downloads page) into Trusted Root Certification Authorities to clear SmartScreen warnings. The Android APK is signed with our upload key — Google Play App Signing takes over once we publish to the Play Store. iOS distribution is App Store / TestFlight only (Apple prohibits side-loading).

MLRT is a new coin and exchange listings are pending. Currently, the primary way to acquire MLRT is to mine it. Peer-to-peer trades can be arranged on community channels (Discord, Telegram). Exchange listing announcements will be made through our official channels.
