Editorial Policy
How this site sources, dates, reviews and corrects what it publishes — and what it will not publish at all.
Malairte publishes educational material about proof-of-work mining, self-custody and the mechanics of this network. Every factual claim carries a source and a date. Statements of law are separated from proposed legislation, analysis is separated from fact, and neither is presented as financial advice. Errors are corrected in public on the corrections page rather than edited away silently.
Sourcing
Where our facts come from
Cryptocurrency information goes out of date quickly, and a great deal of what is written about it is written by someone with a position to sell. We work down this hierarchy, and prefer to publish nothing over publishing something we cannot source.
Primary sources
Legislation and court records, regulator filings and guidance, NIST and other standards bodies, protocol documentation, the block explorer, and the project's own source code. Preferred for every factual claim.
High-quality data
Established market-data and analytics providers, cited with the date the figure was read.
Industry research
Institutional analysis. Usable for interpretation, always labelled as analysis rather than fact.
News reporting
Used to discover that something happened, then replaced with the primary source before publication.

Accuracy
Law, proposals, and the difference between them
A great deal of crypto coverage describes bills that have not passed as though they were already in force. We label every legislative reference explicitly as enacted, pending, or proposed, with the date the status was last checked and a link to the primary record.
Regulatory pages are reviewed weekly. Where a page discusses tax or law it names the jurisdiction it applies to, and it states that it is educational information rather than professional advice.
Freshness
How often pages are re-checked
Every page belongs to a review tier. A scheduled job reports any page whose review has aged past its tier, so staleness surfaces on its own rather than waiting to be noticed by a reader.

Limits
What this site will not publish
Price predictions or forecasts. Not for Malairte, not for anything else. Where published forecasts are discussed, they are attributed to whoever made them and presented alongside the assumptions that would invalidate them.
Profit promises. Our calculators take your electricity rate, your hardware and — where a price is needed — a figure you supply. They do not assert what you will earn.
Investment advice. Nothing here is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any asset, including MLRT.
Fabricated authority. No invented authors, no invented credentials, no invented reviews or ratings, no statistics without a method.
Overclaims about our own technology. Malairte's proof-of-work hash is hardened against quantum cryptanalysis; its signatures are not. We state that distinction plainly on the quantum security page rather than let "quantum-resistant hash" be rounded up to "quantum-proof coin". Likewise, no MLRT ASIC exists today, but no proof-of-work network can promise permanent ASIC resistance and we do not claim one.
Corrections
When we get something wrong
Factual errors are logged publicly with the date, what was wrong, and what was done about it. Where an error was the kind that could recur, we add an automated check and name it in the log entry.
Silent edits to a published factual claim are not acceptable. Typos and formatting are fixed without ceremony; anything a reader could have relied on is logged.

Who pays for this
Malairte is an open-source project, not a company, and this site carries no advertising and no affiliate links. Full detail, including the on-chain protocol fee that funds development, is on the disclosures page.
We have an obvious interest in Malairte, and that interest is disclosed rather than hidden. Where this site compares Malairte to other projects, it states what those projects do better.
